What is Eclipse?
Eclipse is a support group for people who have survived a suicide attempt. It gives you a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space to connect with others who understand through shared experience.
Together, we explore what helps us stay safe, find reasons to keep going, and build hope for the future. Suicide can be hard to talk about; at Eclipse those conversations are welcomed, openly and without fear.
The group runs for eight weeks, with two-hour sessions held weekly, in person at the Lifeline Mid Coast head office, 5 Sherwood Road, Port Macquarie.
Eclipse is a peer support group, not therapy. We encourage participants to have additional support outside the group as well, such as a counsellor or therapist.
Who it's for
Eclipse is for anyone aged 18 and over who has attempted suicide and is looking for support in a safe, welcoming environment. You don't need a referral, and everything shared in the group stays in the group.
What to expect
- A small, closed group so you can build trust over time.
- Two trained facilitators guiding each session.
- A calm, confidential space, no pressure to share more than you want to.
- Practical tools for managing distress and planning for safety.
Groups run at several locations across the Mid Coast throughout the year. Places are limited, so we recommend registering your interest early.
